It's like you were in my mind and heart 💔 This probably sounds ridiculous but I'm not ready, even though I know I should be. He will start his hs year this fall, I get one more year with him. Maybe after this year I'll be ready to start letting go of the things I can't control once he's off to college and I can't see him start living his "true identity."

It doesn't sound ridiculous--it sounds like self-awareness. Though, loosening our grip on control and finding faith in ourselves and our child's emerging maturity can lead to healthier outcomes for everyone. ;) Thanks for the comment, and hang in there, Mama!
