I’m looking forward to reading and listening to more of what you have to say.

Though I don’t have a gender-questioning child, our only child (son, 24) came out as gay at 19, which wasn’t a huge shock to anyone; we had long suspected that something was up, and, frankly, I was relieved that he wasn’t “ace” (asexual). He shares many of the traits that trans kids seem to share widely (he has a touch of OCD which we attributed to his moderate Tourette’s, he’s never been gender-conforming, he’s very intelligent, gentle, and sensitive, never been very social though not anxious, and he spent a great deal of time online during young adolescence, etc.).

I have a great deal of empathy/sympathy for parents struggling with their children, and, like you, I have views that run counter to the dominant narrative. I’m finding that I’m aligning more and more with people who were once the political opposite to me, and I’m thrilled that we’re finding common ground.

My mind and heart are open. It’s good to be here.

I enjoyed the first episode and am glad you’re doing this. A number of podcasts do a good job examining trans ideology, but there’s a glaring black hole where the voices of mothers should be. Kudos to you for building your own platform, and just for persevering. I’ll subscribe and look forward to hearing more from you. (And I agree about small imperfections— your delivery was just right!)
