Thank you for this. It was good to hear from another mom of an adult child who is in this situation. I, too, have realized that I cannot allow my daughter’s decisions to control my life. My recent mantra became, “This is my grief to bear, but not my problem to solve.”

So glad this conversation resonated for you! “This is my grief to bear, but not my problem to solve.” This seems a really healthy mantra that also respects your daughter's journey. Please remember that you are not alone in this! As Motherforever said, "there's a sisterhood" that has formed out of this circumstance.
