If you’ve been a paid subscriber at The StoicMom Project for a while, you likely already know that I’ve developed an appreciation for dream interpretation. I credit this practice with finally shifting me into a state of peace and acceptance for my daughter’s precarious identity exploration. (Though this does not mean I’m affirming her or even that I’ve abandoned all strategy!) If you’re not a paid subscriber, and you’re curious about this trio of dreams (here, here, and here,) I would encourage you to upgrade by Oct 31, and lock in your rate forever! With the launch of my new educational component, helpful concepts along the way, for paid subscribers in November, the cost for new paid subscribers will increase from $6.50/month to $11/month.
This will be another dream interpretation post, but now I’m practicing what is known as dream incubation which happens before the dream! This is a way to be even more intentional about tuning into yourself and developing a relationship with your subconscious; a way to ask for direct guidance on a specific challenge or course of action.
As I was anticipating the interview with Sasha and Stella for Gender: A Wider Lens, I had some moments of self-doubt (because I’m like, you know, human.) I’d seen something (though I don’t remember what) a couple days before it was scheduled that caused me to question myself. Am I on a sound path? What do listeners need to hear me say? What do I want people who’ve never heard of me to know about me? I decided this was a perfect opportunity to give this dream incubation practice a whirl and see what would happen; I set out to ask my dreamweaver (DW) for support.
